With the new handicap system being implemented all over the world your Handicap Index (HI) is the number you must know when booking in for a competition.
Returning overseas members should find out their Handicap Index (HI) as soon as possible from the Handicaps Network Africa website http://www.handicaps.co.za/ and understand how to convert to a Course Handicap (CH) using the conversion charts situated outside the pro-shop.
If you are at all confused please ask me or an attending staff member for help.
Overseas members who do not have a Handicap Index but have a UK or other registered handicap need to apply the following conversion formula in order to play in a competition at Hermanus Golf Club.
Overseas registered handicap + (course rating - par of course) = Course Handicap (CH).
