The day was organised by Cheryl Richardson who is the current Secretary /Public Relations Officer of HAWS.
We had a full field of 136 players and 155 people attended the dinner afterwards. The support from both the players and community in terms of sponsorship and donations was amazing, and we managed to raise R101 000 for HAWS which is a record. Tables were decorated in a flower and animal theme by Cheryl with baby book hedgehogs and mice as table numbers. All decor was sold afterwards in aid of HAWS. The money will go towards the revamping of their new clinic which is desperately needed in order to be able to care for the maximum number of animals in need.
